He was the son of the late Vernon and Betty Jane (Kierstead) Nightenhelser.
He was born in Marion on Feb. 8, 1955. He was the assistant plant manager at Amco.
Survivors include four sons, Royce (Dawn) Nightenhelser and Todd (Rochelle) Nightenhelser, both of Huntington, and Nathan Nightenhelser and Nicholas Nightenhelser, both of Lexington, Ky.; a brother, Joe (Lisa) Nightenhelser, Warren; and eight grandchildren, Adrianna Nightenhelser, Mikayla Bates, Brett Ruckman, Draven Ivy, Atheena Ivy, Lane Nightenhelser, Syrus Ivy and Hagan Nightenhelser.
Services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., with the Rev. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial is in Grant Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
