Alda was Baptized in Jesus' name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost in the spring of 1969 at Greater Bethel Temple Church under the leadership of the late Bishop David T. Schultz and her then present pastor, Dr. William P. Foree. She was a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Young Adult Choir when it was first organized.
Alda was always called "Ben" by her siblings and friends, a nickname she was given when she was little, her Mother and Father called her "Sister". She was faithful and willing to her part in the kitchen whenever needed until her health failed her. She died at Norton's Hospital and was buried at Louisville Cemetery. Alda was married to Perry Woolridge Jr. which he nicknamed her "Boots". No children came of this union.
Alda was preceded in death by her parents, Ulysses Simpson Waller and Savannah Georgia (Pippin) Waller and one brother Everett Waller.
She leaves to mourn one sister, Marie Waller of Indianapolis, Indiana and four brothers, Lales Waller of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Alois and Fred Waller both of Mount Vernon, Indiana and Ulysses Waller of Indianapolis, Indiana and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Special thanks to Michael Dunne for sponsoring my Aunt's memorial.
